Dining is one of the great pleasures of time spent on the island. I have a deep appreciation for fine dining — thoughtful kitchens, attentive service, and rooms where the details matter — but I’m just as happy at many of Key West’s more casual and distinctive spots.
It isn’t always white linen, and it doesn’t need to be. What matters most is that a place feels authentic, well cared for, and genuinely pleasant. The restaurants on this list reflect that balance — from refined evenings out to relaxed meals that feel uniquely of this place.
